I was poking fun at the at the part of the fandom that says “Dean can’t love Cas cause he’s not gay!” (It’s pretty obvious Dean is at least Bisexual anyways.) and I only bring up him being gay because that’s what a lot of people try to argue against Destiel with. I shouldn’t have said “Yeah Dean isn’t homosexual” Because if he did get with Cas then he would be homosexual, but for the sake of arguing that Dean is “multidimensional-wavelength-of-celestial-intent-sexual” I did. (I did say that as a ‘haha If they did get together it wouldn’t be gay cause Cas isn’t a guy so your argument is invalid’. Obviously if cas was in Jimmy’s body then yes, it would be gay, but I was pointing towards the more sprititual side of their relationship.)

So I’m sorry if my jab at that group of people offended you. Really. A few people have already said similar things. It’s just a joke, I didn’t mean anything serious by it :’I

(And I am quite aware that there are tons of lovely sexualities other than  homosexual and heterosexual…)

i appreciate the thoughtfulness of your fully expressed opinion. and yeah, with that context, the original joke is funny. i just wasn’t sure how to take it given that i didn’t have that context, and also because there is an awful lot of problematic shit going on in slash fandom all the time (racism, sexism, lesbophobia, homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, general queerphobia - whether overt or unintentional).

i guess this is a problem with the internet. like with the whole text message sarcasm fail. only instead of signalling your tone with a two character emoticon like :P you have to write a whole long prologue to your joke that no one reads or that makes the joke less spontaneous and funny.

ummmmmmmmmmm…i got nothing. i’m sorry i made you feel bad, since you seem like a lovely person, but i don’t feel like my reaction was way off base either. as in, i think other people could have easily gotten the same impression i did, and either been reinforced in their problematic attitudes or alienated from their fandom. i hate to say ‘choose your words carefully’ or give you any advice at all really, but it’s all i can think of.

to end on a note of solidarity, i’ll just say that i’m glad we’re on the same page here, and want destiel to become an actual canon thing! yay boys kissing…

Oh it’s fine really, considering the fact that I didn’t give any context as to what the joke was about (and there is crap happening in the slash fandom) it’s only reasonable you came to the conclusion that you did. 
I’m actually quite glad that you brought up what you did and that you did it in the fashion that you did. as in you had a well thought out and well put argument and there’s really nothing I admire more than people who know what they’re talking about and put out the information elegantly. I will most definitely chose my words more carefully in the future (I had no idea that this would get spread around as much as it did or else I would have worded it better haha) 
(Also about responding, I get notifications on my dashboard so that’s how I saw that you had responded. I’m not sure if there’s a way to fix it if they don’t show up?)

Okay haha funny post but…

This post was made purely for the joke of “multidimensional-wavelength-of-celestial-intent-sexual.” I only brought up Dean not being “gay” because that’s what most arguments against the pairing I see consist of. (I mean no one is saying ‘Dean can’t love Cas, he’s not pansexual!’, It’s always ‘dean’s not gay’.(which is ridiculous) So naturally I said “dean’s not gay” since I was somewhat aiming this at those people.) So sorry if it seemed like I was implying that there the only sexualities are gay or straight because that’s not true and it’s stupid to think that it is.
